In 2013, our experts conducted an energy audit of the water supply pumping stations in the city of Almalyk. They measured the actual water supply volumes and supply pressure of each pump. An analysis of the operation of the pumping stations showed that practically all pumps operate with a low technical capacity relative to the installed capacity, that is, pumps were selected with high pressure and high power and, accordingly, with a large electric drive power. The technical parameters for flow and pressure were high relative to the system requirements. The inability to regulate the volume and pressure of the supplied water depending on the changes in water flow leads to increased energy consumption. Areas of uneven pressure distribution were also found.
